Owner gossiped and complained about other guests not paying, or not paying on time, as a result he would begin hounding me early for pay long before it was time. But I paid in full, on time each pay date, so never understood the sudden urgency.

But if you stay, you have been warned.

Gotta see to to believe. Great tiny cabin resort for those quick overnight trips with kids or romantic stay.

Beautiful place to relax. Lots to do in the area. Went during the week. Almost had the whole place to ourselves. Cabins are small but comfortable. Everything is provided all the way down to a stack of fire wood by your fire ring.

Just drove forever through nowhere to get here....they are shut down... gone

Some tenants stay long term but live like it's their house, leaving wet towels outside of the bathrooms to dry and leaving nasty messes behind. The owner never addresses the issue with them. Instead he asked me directly, to clean up after guests, when I was a guest myself!

Bathrooms aren't cleaned so look forward to blood in the stools and used tampons on top of the trash in the restrooms, like I found constantly. There's puddles of water from shower leaks.

Beautiful area, very peaceful. We just moved to Alabama from Texas and were looking for a weekend getaway. The owner left a cabin open for us so we could check in early. Very nice private bathroom facilities with towels left out for us. We are just starting our stay for the weekend but I can say for sure that we will be back!

In conclusion, The best thing about the place is most of the people that stay are quiet, friendly, and keep to themselves, aside from treating the place like their own personal space. Weekend stays are ideal, weekly stays are available but the owner expressed that he is "broke" so he turned off the WiFi and refused to hire a cleaning service.

Owner gossips about tenants to tenants and the groundskeeper and creates unnecessary tension with this lack of professionalism.

Train track is directly behind the property and it comes twice before dawn most days. During hunting season a reign of thunderous gunshots drown out the peacefulness. And after season there's "shooting practice" next door.

Funny how most of the other reviews are shining with unrealistic enthusiasm, makes me wonder if guests actually wrote them.
